Kids Summer Day Camp
Our Children’s Summer Day Camp is for kids entering 1st – 6th grade. Around camp you’ll hear us use the terms “Middlers” for 1st – 3rd graders and “Seniors” for those entering 4th-6th grade. Our program is designed to give your child the classic camp experience in an environment that fosters Christian character development, meaningful friendships, and lasting memories. We strive to maintain a one to eight staff to camper ratio.
The staff builds a strong, caring community among the campers and families so that your child can feel like Day Camp Sunshine is their second home in the summer time. We know we've done our job well when your child can't wait to come back again and again.
What Will My Child Be Doing During Summer Day Camp?
A typical day includes music and song time, engaging Bible lessons that foster discussion about faith and character development, indoor and outdoor electives, games and activities, swimming, snacks and lunch and a weekly trip to the Camp Store and Sweet Shoppe. We also offer field trips and special pizza & pool parties – something the campers look forward to every year!

The camp sections – Middlers, Seniors, Teens – rotate between some of the activities. For example, the Seniors have swim time first while the teens and middlers eat lunch. Then they switch out. Occasionally a one-day special event will replace Electives, but more often the special event is held during the Afternoon Activities time. Campers and Staff of the Week are announced along with the team winner of the week – Polars or Grizzlies.
